Who is Limba Gal?
I'm Jeneba aka "Limba Gal", the woman behind Limba Gal Jewelry. I'm a 1st-generation American born to Sierra Leonean parents. I spent my formative years growing up in West and South Africa where my exposure to the arts sharpened my interest for all things creative. Some of my favorite memories are of South African puppet theatre, West African market bazaars and watching cultural masquerade dances.
When I returned to the U.S., I obtained a B.F.A. in Media Arts and Animation and honed my design skills in the industry before attending graduate school to pursue my first loves - painting and drawing. When I was there, I took my first metalsmithing class and instantly fell in love with the process and materials. Shortly after, Limba Gal Jewelry was born to empower individuals to embrace their authentic selves and find strength in their voices. My goal is to create distinctive, well crafted jewelry pieces that instill pride and confidence in the wearer.
